Durante o Mestrado estudou a Cardite silenciosa em pacientes com o 1\u00ba surto de febre reum\u00e1tica aguda. E durante o Doutorado, analisou as manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es articulares, perif\u00e9ricas e axiais, em pacientes com Doen\u00e7a de Chron e retocolite ulcerativa. Ambas pesquisas em pacientes atendidos no Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas da UFMG.<\/p><p>Em janeiro de 1990 concluiu a resid\u00eancia m\u00e9dica em Reumatologia, e permaneceu como preceptora da Resid\u00eancia e membro do Servi\u00e7o de Reumatologia do Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas da UFMG. Em maio de 1997 iniciou a carreira docente na Faculdade de Medicina, UFMG, ap\u00f3s concurso para o Departamento do Aparelho Locomotor em fevereiro de 1997. Atualmente \u00e9 professora Titular do Departamento do Aparelho Locomotor, Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, e Professora do Programa de P\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o (Ci\u00eancias Aplicadas \u00e0 Sa\u00fade do Adulto) na mesma Faculdade.<\/p><p>\u00c9 consultora da Telemedicina &#8211; Teleconsultoria em Sa\u00fade \u2013 Projeto de Extens\u00e3o da Faculdade de Medicina da UFMG na \u00e1rea de Reumatologia, desde 2008. Tem experi\u00eancia na \u00e1rea de Reumatologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: l\u00fapus eritematoso sist\u00eamico, febre reum\u00e1tica, doen\u00e7as inflamat\u00f3rias intestinais e espondiloartrites. Realizou publica\u00e7\u00f5es de v\u00e1rios cap\u00edtulos de livros, artigos em revistas m\u00e9dicas e trabalhos cient\u00edficos em congressos. \u00c9 co-autora e organizadora do livro Reumatologia &#8211; Diagn\u00f3stico e Tratamento, 3a, 4a e 5\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00f5es, publicadas em 2008, 2014 e 2019, respectivamente.<\/p><p>Entre as atividades administrativas destacam-se a Chefia do Departamento do Aparelho Locomotor no bi\u00eanio 2008\/2009, e sub-chefia deste departamento nos bi\u00eanios 2010\/2011 e 2012\/2013. Em 2003 concluiu a resid\u00eancia m\u00e9dica em Cl\u00ednica M\u00e9dica no Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas da UFMG e em 2006 concluiu a resid\u00eancia de Reumatologia no Instituto de Previdencia dos Servidores do Estado de Minas Gerais (IPSEMG). Concluiu o mestrado em Ci\u00eancias Aplicadas \u00e0 Sa\u00fade do Adulto pela UFMG (2010). Durante o Mestrado estudou a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o nutricional, atividade f\u00edsica e fatores associados ao excesso de peso em pacientes com L\u00fapus Eritematoso Sist\u00eamico e no Doutorado tamb\u00e9m pelo programa de p\u00f3s gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Ci\u00eancias Aplicadas a Sa\u00fade do Adulto\/ UFMG (2015) estudou o perfil inflamat\u00f3rio de pacientes com L\u00fapus Eritematoso Sist\u00eamico atendidos no Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas da UFMG. <br \/>Em dezembro de 2015 iniciou a carreira docente na Faculdade de Medicina, UFMG, ap\u00f3s concurso para o Departamento do Aparelho Locomotor e desde 2015 \u00e9 membro do Servi\u00e7o de Reumatologia do Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas\/ UFMG e preceptora de reumatologia do Ambulat\u00f3rio de L\u00fapus Sist\u00eamico. <br \/>Atualmente \u00e9 professora Adjunta do Departamento do Aparelho Locomotor, Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. \u00c9 consultora da Telemedicina &#8211; Teleconsultoria em Sa\u00fade \u2013 Projeto de Extens\u00e3o da Faculdade de Medicina da UFMG na \u00e1rea de Reumatologia, desde 2018. Tem experi\u00eancia na \u00e1rea de Reumatologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: l\u00fapus eritematoso sist\u00eamico, artrite reumatoide e espondiloartrites. Iniciou em 2005 o acompanhamento e tratamento de pacientes com doen\u00e7as imuno mediadas com medicamentos imunossupressores e imunobiol\u00f3gicos. Durante a p\u00f3s-gradrua\u00e7\u00e3o investigou a aterosclerose, por meio de ultrassonografia de car\u00f3tidas, e os seus fatores de risco em pacientes com L\u00fapus Eritematoso Sist\u00eamico.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atualmente \u00e9 professora Associada do Departamento de Cl\u00ednica M\u00e9dica da Faculdade de Medicina-UFMG, sub-coordenadora do Colegiado do Curso de Medicina (2021-2023) e preceptora de Resid\u00eancia M\u00e9dica em Reumatologista do Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas da UFMG-Ebserh, sendo coordenadora de um dos ambulat\u00f3rios de LES e do ambulat\u00f3rio de Osteoartrite e Artrites Microcristalinas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9 uma das coordenadoras do Grupo de Pesquisa em L\u00fapus Eritematosos Sist\u00eamico (GPLES-CNPq) e atua no Programa de Extens\u00e3o para Atendimento de LES e seus Familiares da Faculdade de Medicina da UFMG. Desde 2012 \u00e9 pesquisadora principal do Estudo Longitudinal de Sa\u00fade do adulto Musculoesquel\u00e9tico (ELSA-Brasil MSK).
